The British Association and College of Occupational Therapists (BAOT/COT) – the professional body and trade union which represents the UK’s 29,000 occupational therapy staff and students – seeks to recruit a Production and Design Officer to the Membership and External Affairs Department.
Production and Design Officer Salary in the region of £22,986-£27,070 depending on skills and experience Full time, based at London Bridge.
Our busy publications team is responsible for the monthly production of the College’s two flagship publications, Occupational Therapy News and the British Journal of Occupational Therapy. Already experienced in magazine production and design, your key role will be to design and lay out the editorial pages and advertisements in Occupational Therapy News, our news and features member magazine.
In addition, you will carry out a variety of activities including assisting with advertising enquiries and other general administrative tasks. For this position we require someone with experience in Adobe Creative Suite 4, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat, as well as knowledge of general Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of picture sourcing is essential, along with accurate proof reading skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the print production process is also essential, along with the ability to be flexible and work accurately to deadlines as part of a team.
