In 2009, occupational therapists will have to re-register with the Health Professions Council (HPC) using the new HPC’s quality assurance audit process. To meet their criteria for re-registration, you will need to demonstrate you meet their CPD standards. This workshop will tell you all you need to know to help you prepare now for re-registration. You will also have the opportunity to quiz a representative from the HPC about the audit process and what you need to do to ensure you successfully re-register in 2009. Annie Turner, Council representative for HPC, will be leading this session.

Learn more about your Council and find out from Council members and BAOT officers how your professional body is run. The trustee role, what governance means - how to ensure it is effective, and the relationship between the organisation and Council, will be covered. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions on our new Strategic Plan.
You may be considering getting involved, or at some point you may be interested in representing your profession and becoming a Council member and a trustee, but want to know more from those that have 'been there and done it'. This session will reveal what's involved and what you need to do to become a leading ambassador the profession. Don't miss it!
