The membership categories are:

| Overseas membership – for members not resident in UK. They may be an occupational therapist or from another discipline | £45 |
| Other professional in UK including an occupational therapist who is a non BAOT/COT member, any other professional member of any other discipline | £45 |
| Honorary membership (Elected by the NEC and not a joining membership category) | N/A |
