East of England CAMHS OT group
The East of England groups first meeting was in October 1997, Initially as a group of like minded and interested CAMHS OT's who recognised the dangers of professional isolation, and wanted to capitalise on the increased range of Occupational therapy input across our region.
The group is open to any interested people and has over the years seen vast changes in the scope, structure and organisation of CAMH services, while also being at the forefront of establishing the OT role within this specialism.
Our group has changed and evolved, we attract staff from a wide geographical area from Leicester to Bury St Edmonds, Cambridge, Peterborough and Northampton and all locations in between. Our meeting are informal, allowing time for sharing of practice, feedback from areas and opportunities to discuss changes to the national agenda. Invited speakers have been arranged at some venues.
The group meet three times per year and meetings are held at a variety of locations around the area.
Dates for 2008 are to be confirmed.
