Agenda for Change
Work was done by members of this specialist section at the June 2004 Conference. This has been collated and can be downloaded below. There is a questionnaire to assist you in looking at your job description and find out if it is a true reflection of your current role, and also a Help for Hospices - Agenda for Change - Post Specification for a Senior I Occupational Therapist which you can use for a comparison.

Documents which give useful information on Agenda for Change are:
"Agenda for Change, a summary of the proposals" - which has an understandable fairly short version of pay and conditions - available from the Unison web site to download as a pdf file (http://www.unison.org.uk/healthcare/a4c) or jump directly to the document: http://www.unison.org.uk/acrobat/13824.pdf (681KB
*)
There is also information on the COT web site: http://www.cot.org.uk/members/unison/agenda/intro.php
Regarding those who work for Hospices or for other organisations other than the NHS: Agenda for Change is copyrighted by the Crown, and any use of this by any other organisation would need permission from the Dept of Health. It is also not ready for implementation, and cannot be implemented in part. There has been some reports of organisations (other than NHS) implementing what they are calling Agenda for Change and changing terms and conditions without agreement of staff. If this is the case UNISON would be interested to hear about this. Contact Unison on their web site http://www.unison.org.uk/help/index.asp.
One of the key strands of Agenda for Change is the Knowledge and Skills framework (KSF). Information has been produced by COT on KSK and is available in the COT briefing paper no 31: Knowledge and Skills Framework. (You will need to be logged in as a BAOT Member to download this document.)
